Ryan Family
Wines
The Ryan
Family were among the Australian wine
pioneers of the Broke Fordwich sub-region
of the Hunter Valley wine country when
they established the Australian wine title
Broke Estate on Monkey Place Creek in
1987.
Fifty-five
acres of Australian soil are planted with
Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc,
Shiraz, Semillon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon
Blanc fruit which are released under two
Australian labels; Broke Estate, a
traditional range of Australian wines
designed to mature as Hunter classics, and
Ryan, a more contemporary range of fresh,
flavoursome and immediately drinkable
Australian wines.
Enjoy the
view of Brokenback Range from our cellar
door, a charming 1890's heritage-listed
settler's cottage, (we call it Albert
Hall). Try the wines with Matthew and Tina
(and keep the children amused with the
latest pets; lambs, goats, ducks). Cellar
door members receive regular newsletters
informing them of up and coming events,
vineyard functions and vintage releases.
Opening times: Weekends & public
holidays 11am-5pm.
